Carion studied in Brussels and later in Paris at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, where she was influenced by the artistic movements circulating in early 20th-century Europe. Her work combines elements of symbolism, post-impressionism and early modern decorative art. This image reflects the vibrant atmosphere of the Côte d’Azur during the interwar years, when many European artists travelled south in search of light, colour and inspiration.
